What is DroneMe?

Request live streams from the map, or stream and earn Points. Experience a new way to see the world. DroneMe has two roles.

A-SIDE

Operator

Pick a spot on the map and request a live stream from a Drone (streamer) at that location. Watch the scene in real time and send simple directions with the gamepad or chat. Points are spent only for the time you stay connected.

B-SIDE

Drone

Answer requests by sharing your current view through your phone's rear camera. Earn Points based on connection time with the Operator. Points you earn can be used within the app.

Available in 19 languages

UI in 19 languages, from Japanese and English onward. Users worldwide share the same map.

Safety by design

Because we handle location and video, safety comes first.

No precise location shown

Other users only see an approximate position rounded to about 150 m. Exact coordinates are never sent to other devices.

Safety Area & Safety Time

Hide yourself in places (Safety Area) and during hours (Safety Time) you choose, set up in advance.

Report & block

Report or block inappropriate streams and behavior in-app. The operator reviews reports and takes action.

Server-side distance checks

Beacon-arrival checks run entirely on the server; the coordinates used are never exchanged between devices.

Streams are not stored

Video is processed transiently for viewing only. The operator does not record or retain streams.

Road-safety rules

Our terms require streamers on the move to obey traffic laws and stay aware of their surroundings.

Operator-only mode

A mode for watch-only users. While it is ON, your location stays private at all times and you are never searched or notified as a drone.

Before you start

  • This service is for users aged 18 and over
  • Points are purchased, earned, and spent entirely within the app (no cash out)
  • When streaming, do not film in prohibited places or infringe on the rights of others. Follow traffic rules and stay aware of your surroundings

FAQ

Answers to the questions we hear most often.

What is DroneMe?
A location-based live-streaming matchmaking app that connects operators who want to see a place with drones who stream it from the ground using their smartphones. Operators can send direction commands and messages while watching in real time.
Is it free?
Downloading the app and streaming as a drone are free. Operators spend in-app points (pt) to watch live video, and drones earn points for the time they stay connected.
What are points (pt)?
Prepaid points used inside the app for viewing. Please see the Terms of Service for expiry and detailed conditions.
How visible is my location to others?
Only an approximate position rounded to about 150 m is shown to others, and exact coordinates are never sent to other devices. You can define safety areas where you are never displayed, and turning on Operator-only mode keeps your location private at all times.
Are my streams recorded?
No. Video is processed transiently for viewing; the operator does not record or store streams on servers.
What do I need to start as a drone?
Just a smartphone with a camera and the DroneMe app. Streaming requires camera, microphone and location permissions. When streaming on the move, please obey traffic rules and stay aware of your surroundings.
What if someone behaves badly?
You can report and block them in-app. The operator reviews reports and takes action under the Terms of Service.
