Last updated: August 26, 2026
DroneMaker ("we", "us", or "our") establishes this Privacy Policy (this "Policy") as follows regarding the handling of user information in the application "DroneMe" (the "Service") that we provide.
Article 1 (Application)
1. This Policy applies to the handling of user information that we obtain in connection with the use of the Service.
2. Terms used in the Terms of Service of the Service have the same meaning in this Policy.
Article 2 (Information We Obtain)
In providing the Service, we obtain the following information.
1. Account information
User identifier (UID) issued by anonymous authentication, display name, records of agreement to the Terms of Service (the version agreed to and the date and time), and the language setting of the application
2. Account linking information
Where you carry out account linking, information such as the email address associated with your Google account, or an email address and password (passwords are protected on the authentication platform and are never obtained by us in plain text)
3. Telephone number
Your telephone number where you use SMS authentication
4. Location information
Location information transmitted from your device (including latitude and longitude and the area codes converted therefrom)
5. Video and audio
Camera video and microphone audio when streaming as a Drone
6. Billing and transaction information
Records relating to the purchase, consumption, grant, and lapse of Points (transaction history), and information relating to purchases notified to us by the App Store. Credit card numbers and other payment method information are handled by the App Store and are not obtained by us.
7. Device information and identifiers
Identifiers of the device or the application provided by the OS (such as ANDROID_ID on Android and identifierForVendor on iOS) converted into hash values that are difficult to reverse, tokens used for the delivery of push notifications, the OS type and version of the device, and other technical information
8. Information on usage status
Connection history, operating time, records relating to reports and blocks, and other information generated in connection with the use of the Service
Article 3 (Purposes of Use)
We use the information we obtain for the following purposes.
1. To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
2. To match Users (including display on the map, determination of arrival at Beacons, and mediation of connections)
3. To manage Points (purchase, consumption, grant, lapse, and provision of transaction history)
4. To grant bonuses for registration, login, installation, and the like, and to prevent duplicate acquisition of bonuses using hash values of device identifiers
5. To verify identity and to detect and prevent improper use (such as falsification of location information, duplicate acquisition through multiple accounts, and breaches of the Terms of Service)
6. To send push notifications and otherwise contact Users
7. To respond to reports, address breaches of the Terms of Service, and otherwise ensure the safety of the Service
8. To respond as required by laws and regulations
Article 4 (Handling of Video, Audio, and Recordings)
1. Video and audio streamed by a Drone is processed temporarily on the communication platform in order to be transmitted to the connected Operator. We do not obtain or retain streamed video or audio as recordings.
2. Data recorded by an Operator in accordance with the Terms of Service is stored only within that Operator's device. We do not obtain or retain recorded data.
3. Responsibility for the handling of recorded data lies with the Operator who made the recording, as provided in the Terms of Service.
Article 5 (Handling of Location Information)
1. We use location information for display on the map, mediation of connections, determination of arrival at Beacons, prevention of improper use, and other purposes within the scope of Article 3.
2. The location displayed to other Users is, in principle, an approximate location with reduced precision by a method we prescribe (a location rounded to approximately 150-metre units, or a density display by area). However, while streaming video as a Drone, the Drone's current location is displayed to the connected Operator. Drones stream on the basis of prior acknowledgement of this.
3. By setting a Safety Area (a specified area) or a Safety Time (a specified time period), you may control your own display within that area or during that time period. You may also select Operator-only mode so that you are not displayed as a Drone.
4. Determination of arrival at Beacons and other determinations relating to distance are carried out within our servers, and the coordinates used for such determinations are never transmitted to other Users' devices.
Article 6 (Provision to Third Parties)
We will not provide user information to third parties except in the following cases.
1. Where the User consents
2. Where required by laws and regulations
3. Where necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent
4. Where otherwise permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations
Display names, approximate locations, operating time rankings, and the like may be shown to other Users as a function of the Service. This constitutes the provision of the Service itself and does not fall under provision to third parties as described above.
Article 7 (Use of External Services and Transfer Outside Japan)
1. In providing the Service, we use the following external services and entrust the processing of information to them.
(1) Firebase provided by Google LLC (authentication, database, server processing, push notifications, and the like)
(2) The real-time video communication platform provided by Agora, Inc. (transmission of video and audio)
(3) Google Maps Platform provided by Google LLC (map display and place search)
(4) App Stores (distribution of the application and payment)
(5) Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics provided by Google LLC (analysis of application usage and identification of defects and crash information)
2. In connection with the use of the external services in the preceding paragraph, user information may be processed on servers located outside Japan. We take the measures necessary to ensure that user information is handled appropriately, in accordance with the terms of service and privacy policies of each external service provider.
3. The handling of information by each external service is governed by the privacy policy of the relevant provider.
4. The services referred to in item (5) of paragraph 1 collect information on application usage (information relating to screen displays and operations) and information relating to crashes. We do not collect advertising identifiers through these services, and we do not use the collected information for the purpose of identifying specific individuals.
Article 8 (Retention Period and Deletion)
1. We retain the information we obtain to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use set out in Article 3, and where it is no longer required we will without delay erase it or process it into a form in which individuals cannot be identified.
2. Each category of information is retained only for the period necessary to achieve its respective purpose of use.
3. Where an account is deleted (withdrawal), we will erase the information associated with that account within the period we prescribe, excluding information that must be retained by law and the information referred to in the following paragraph.
4. Hash values of device identifiers and records relating to telephone numbers retained in order to prevent duplicate acquisition of bonuses may be retained, in a form in which an individual cannot be identified on their own, for the period necessary for the purpose of fraud prevention even after account deletion.
Article 9 (Security Management Measures)
We take encryption of communications, access control, server-side permission management, and other necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of the information we obtain and otherwise to manage it securely.
Article 10 (Rights of Users)
1. In accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, you may request that we disclose, correct, add to, delete, or suspend the use of your information.
2. Please direct requests under the preceding paragraph to the contact point set out in Article 13. We will respond within a reasonable period in accordance with laws and regulations.
